In honor of our mom's one year anniversary of leaving this world.
March 6, 2019
Momma Rocky Lucy is always with us. She is the beauty of Dogwood and Cherry Blossoms budding in the Spring time. She is the beauty of Fall colors and Clear Blue skies and the rustle of the leaves walking thru the woods.
She’s the beauty of A gentle snow falling and the laughter of children making snowman
She is the beauty of a summer day and a beach house shared with friends and family. She is pelicans flying and pimento cheese sandwiches and sunrises and sunsets that take your breath away. She is as close as my own breath
She’s the smell of freshly baked scones and daisies picked in her honor, and the special perfume she wore and the fragrance of life itself.
She is Happy Hour, Chips and Salsa and Margaritas and everything that makes you smile and say Life is Good.
She is the salty kisses on my cheeks from my rescue puppy and the joy playing hand and foot with my sweetheart.
She is the sound of the rain that lulls me to sleep and wakes me up, the colors of the rainbow and the warmth of the sun.
She is Christmas morning, Easter morning and all the holidays that she made so beautiful.
She is Easter Bunnies, The Velveteen Rabbit and the Little Prince all wrapped in one.
She is the first morning light and first sip of coffee and the last golden light at twilight.
She is Lucy in the skies with Diamonds and has a star in the heavens named after her.
Lucy lives inside us. She is our heart, our laughter and our tears. She’s the place we came from, our first home, and she’s the map we follow with every step I take. She is our inspiration, our hero, our anchor and our closest friend.
Our mom is free now to be everywhere. To travel as light as a feather
and nothing can ever separate us -not time, not space and not death.
Always in our hearts and always missed,
Love, Annee, John, Chris, Joe Jr. Beth, Pat, Rita, Judy and Joe Louis in heaven
